The Gold Coast is one of Australia’s most dynamic and fastest growing regions. This popular tourist destination has some of the world’s best surfing beaches and offers fun, adventure and a unique study abroad experience.

The Gold Coast may not have made it as the capital of Queensland, but it is certainly the place to be especially for high school students. You will find your teenager calling out to take a trip to the Gold Coast and to attend one of its many fantastic High Schools.

The Gold Coast consists of many suburbs located along the coast of Queensland. Most of these suburbs will have their own High Schools. They have a lot to offer in the way of excursions to help your child understand the world around them and how it works, with the famous Sea World right on it's door step as well as some amazing beaches where they can learn all about the marine life that call the oceans home.

With state of the art facilities, you will find this town as not a sleepy smaller coastal town but as they are up to date with all teaching techniques, they have generally larger campus's offering more facilities and smaller class sizes as well as professional qualified teachers who want nothing more then your child to succeed in life.

Getting here and around

  • The Gold Coast has its own international airport with links to Asia, Europe, the USA and New Zealand, while Brisbane International Airport is just a 70-minute drive away.
  • Queensland Rail connects major centres on the Gold Coast and 60 bus routes operate across the city. A new light rail system links Gold Coast University Hospital, Southport, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.
  • The city has invested in a number of major infrastructure projects in preparation for hosting the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Study Abroad (metro High School)
​Enhance your English language skills and experience Australian culture for three, six, nine or 12 months ​in the High School (Study Abroad) Program.

​Study Abroad (metro) + Regional Study Abroad

​Students can combine a study abroad at a metro high school on the Gold Coast with a study abroad at a regional high school. This gives students an opportunity to study and experience Australian life and culture in a city and also a beautiful coastal or countryside community. Better yet, the price is cheaper than just studying at a metro high school (study abroad program).
