Bendigo TAFE

Overview
Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE (BRIT) currently offers training and education to students in an area of Central and Northern Victoria that covers more than 25.000 square kilometres. A region this vast and a scattered student population demand the use of the latest in information and teaching technology. Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE provides just this for its more than 14.000 clients, as well as a focus on the specific present and future requirement of the local economy.

Location
Set in the Central and Northern parts of Victoria, the area around the towns of Bendigo and Castlemaine is still known as “The Goldfields”. Though the big gold rushes are long over, the region has its share of historic reminders of that fascinating era. Echuca enjoys its reputation as one of Victoria’s premier tourist destinations.
The summers can be warm and occasionally hot while the wintertime brings cold weather and, in the higher regions, even snowfalls.

Campuses
A total of seven campuses form the Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE. These are located in the following towns:

  • Bendigo (City Campus)
  • Bendigo (Charleston Road)
  • Castlemaine
  • Echuca
  • Kerang
  • Kyneton
  • Maryborough

Despite being housed in some historic buildings, the facilities at the Bendigo TAFE campuses are very much up-to-date. Comprehensively equipped libraries paired with modern technologies such as computer labs ensure a first rate learning atmosphere. Specialised courses are offered throughout the campuses with subjects like food hygiene, professional writing or even beekeeping merely being examples. Extensive garden areas make for some excellent recreation.

Around 25.000 students choose the services of Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE every year.
